The DVX is the first Enterprise storage system to split server-powered performance from a network attached durable-capacity appliance, all designed as a single end-to-end system. Performance uses your commodity host compute and flash, driven by Datrium Hyperdriver software uploaded to the host. Durable capacity is on an integrated external storage appliance, the Datrium Net- Shelf, which also coordinates the system and simplifies management. The DVX is fully VM-centric – there are no SAN or block storage artifacts to manage. A vSphere operator can run it with no SAN training.
